Change the speed in three steps
Drop your video
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV or AVI, up to 500 MB.
Pick a speed
0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x or 4x.
Process and download
The video and sound both change speed.
What each speed is for
1.25x and 1.5x tighten a talking video without sounding rushed: a common trick to fit a long take into a 60 second short. 2x to 4x suits timelapses, setup clips and recipes where the waiting isn't interesting.
0.5x and 0.75x make a slow-motion moment, like a trick or a goal. Slowing a normal 30 fps video makes it look less smooth, because no new frames are added.
The sound changes speed too, but its pitch stays the same, so voices stay recognisable instead of sounding like chipmunks.
Frequently
Asked Questions
Will the voice sound high-pitched when sped up?
No. The audio keeps its pitch; only the pace changes.
Can I make a smooth slow motion?
Slowing a video spreads the same frames over more time, so it's smoothest with footage shot at 60 fps or more.
How do I fit a video into 60 seconds?
Divide the length by 60. A 75 second video at 1.25x becomes 60 seconds.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It's processed in your browser, on your own device, and never leaves it.
